DodieJacobi
Ideas to Implementation

Dodie works with not-for-profit clients to facilitate strategic planning, marketing, funding and business plan development. Thereafter, the same management consulting expertise she provides for-profit companies on an hourly basis is available to ensure these plans don't just sit on a shelf.

"Strategic planning is important to any not-for-profit, but it's hard to make the time when you're busy solving the day-to-day issues. Dodie Jacobi's approach allowed meaningful planning to emerge parallel with work-a-day responsibilities. She took the time to get to know me, and our institution, and asked important questions about our work processes and goals. She collected input from staff and constituents, and all had high praise for her intellect and her enthusiasm. The result is a plan we can work with: ambitious but not unrealistic. I've never felt better about the planning process than when working with Dodie Jacobi."

"I do hope you know how much we all appreciate everything - energy, smarts, dedication, passion, thoughtfulness, generosity, tenacity - you have contributed and continue to contribute, and that Review would not exist without you."

Kate Hackman, Acting Board Chair, Review, Inc.

"As Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture (KCCUA) has grown, we discovered the need to move from our somewhat "organic growth" to that which a Strategic Plan would guide. So we, the Board of Directors along with Katherine, Daniel and our consultant, Dodie Jacobi, began our journey with a board retreat nine months ago. We gathered with our collective and differing ideas, our view of where we have been and where we would like to go, our learning experiences and our accomplishments - and Dodie had the job of distilling them to words. It was a long and difficult yet exciting process. Several drafts and discussions later, we are pleased to have adopted the Strategic Plan at our last board meeting."

Tina Hoover, Board Chair, KCCUA

"I want to say thanks to Dodie for facilitating yesterday's meeting. Dodie, I appreciate your openness. You make me feel comfortable and your personality and attitude encourage folks to be real and forthcoming. I am sincerely appreciative of your willingness to work through all that with us. I think it cleared the air and made the soil fertile for good business thoughts. I am not sure without an "outsider" with a more objective head than our own, we would have been able to do that. Thank you."
